Roya Ladan named to Daily Journal's "Top 40 Under 40"

September 2024

CW partner Roya Ladan was named to the Daily Journal's 2024 "Top 40 Under 40" list. The annual list recognizes high-achieving California lawyers under the age of 40.

Ladan represents individuals and entities in all stages of litigation, from investigations to trials, arbitrations, and appeals. As an employment litigation specialist, she draws on her extensive first-chair jury trial experience (including time as a trial attorney for California's Civil Rights Department) to successfully resolve wage and hour disputes as well as misclassification, employment discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, and whistleblower actions.

The Daily Journal profiled two of Ladan's recent victories at trial: a $971,000 jury verdict for a Los Angeles sheriff's captain, Jennifer Seetoo, in a gender discrimination and retaliation suit against the county and the sheriff's department, as well as a complete defense verdict for United Teachers Los Angeles in a complex employment dispute. Both decisions were returned in under two hours. "Having both juries come back so quick was a first for me," Ladan told the publication.
